Who Are IIUM Peers

IIUM Peers is one of four support group under IIUM Counseling services Department. IIUM Peers have to undergo 100 credit hour of training including three major training outside the campus, classroom trainings, field on job, taping and assignments. Upon the completion of the trainings, they will be recognized as Peer Counselor.

Laughter

Even if there is nothing to laugh about, laugh on credit.

Let us spent this winter, laughing at the rain.

I laugh because I must not cry. That is all. That is all.

IIUM Peers - Functions

1.To help other students sort out concerns, brainstorm ideas, provide guidance and help to identify whether the students need to be referred to counselor.

2.To conduct and organize programmes that contribute to the development of IIUM students.

3.To provide the peer counseling services at Mahallah level.

4.To assist the Counseling Services Department in identifying proactive measures that can be taken in providing effective and efficient services.
